Improve students note recognition and sight reading. Help them gain fluency naming and locating notes on the staff and on their instrument, mastering basic skills for both sight reading and music theory!
This colourful ‘Note Search’ Bundle includes 130 cards in four levels:
- The first level reinforces recognition of notes on treble and bass staff.
- Moving on from staff notes, level 2 teaches the leger line notes above and below both treble and bass staff.
- Level 3 extends note reading to using accidentals with staff notes.
- The final set, level 4 has notes on leger lines, above and below both treble and bass, which also have accidentals.
- Levels 3 and 4 include enharmonic notes, and ‘white note’ sharps and flats, helping kids master these concepts.
- A ‘Personal Best’ score chart is also included in this bundle. It is a really helpful tool to motivate and encourage students to practice sight reading, increase fluency and confidence, and build up a ‘personal best’ reading time.
Versatile to use: These ‘Note Search’ cards can be used in three helpful and fun ways. Firstly, as note flashcards for students to name and play. Secondly, as a ‘Memory Match’ Game laid out on the table or floor, and thirdly, as a friendly ‘Snap’ Game to really speed up recognition skills! Great to use in individual lessons, and ideal to use in group classes. This versatility makes note learning more fun! It’s a sneaky way to give students the extra repetition they need to help them memorize the notes. (All printing & game playing instructions are included.)
